Travel through the lungs, legs, and heart
Journey starts sitting in front of the computer, in the office. Through the window, I see the outline of our peak. I already long to breathe deeply. You look for sensations to evade worries or to flow of endorphins. This medicine I can find in the mountains:
The strong air pushes you against the direction. We continue to tread heavily and the snow sinks our feet. The fatigue of the legs already makes the steps difficult and the adversities make it even harder. For these rocks, you’ll need to use your hands. You look back and feel the immensity of the space. The flow of climbing uphill is addictive!
We reached the summit! You take a deep breath. One more day, we return alive, much more alive!
This trip has been challenging. I’m feeling full. This connection with nature is a really liberating feeling.
I think it has been lost in a world, where everyone wants more and faster every day. We forget the simpliness of itinerant strokes. This simplicity usually is the most sustainable way.
