The clock of peace

The old clock in the town square had stopped working years ago, frozen at midnight. For a long time, the town had been divided by a big argument, neighbors didn’t talk to each other, and everything was quiet.

One morning, a little girl climbed the clock tower without anyone noticing. When she came back down, the clock started ringing, and the hands began to move again. The villagers gathered around, curious.
“Why did you fix it?” an old man asked.
The girl showed a note she had found inside the clock. The faded writing said: “Peace begins when time moves forward.”

When they read it, the silence broke. Slowly, the neighbors began to reconnect, as if the clock had reminded them of something important: the chance to begin again.
